September Newsletter 2022

Updated: Sep 7

Is it really September already??? Thank you all for making this summer so wonderful as we got a chance to connect with so many of you at different coffee chats and other events throughout the valley. You are each an encouragement to us.

ICAN will not be hosting a Coffee Chat in September or October, instead we invite you to join us at our other events! Saturday, September 24th we will be set up with over 20 other local authors at the Caldwell Public Library for our ICAN Book Extravaganza. We will be at the library from 10:30am to 4pm.

Can't make it that day? Don't worry, check out our "Local Authors" page on our website to find each of these authors and their amazing books.

Saturday, October 22nd, ICAN will be hosting the 2022 Treasure Valley Writers' Fest - Get Right With Your Writing at Sand Hollow Baptist Church. During this one day conference we will come beside you to encourage your writing journey with a variety of workshops: "Getting back to basics", "To write or not to write", "Whose head are you in?", "Does tense make you tense?", "Adding color to your style", "Making your manuscript sparkle", plus two special guest speakers. Tickets are available now on Eventbrite.

If you have published a new book recently (or a new format of a previously released book), make sure to send that information to ICAN director Mary Vinecore at authormaryvine@gmail.com ICAN will announce book releases every other month. When sending Mary the information about your book make sure to include:

Book Title

Book Genre

Format that your book is available in (print, e-book, audio)

Link to purchase

Short description (limit 100 words)

Links to find you the author online

JPG file of your book's FRONT cover

Thank you for supporting ICAN, the more we encourage each other, the more we can share with the world.
